Maybe get a fan so you don't die of heat exaustion.

Get some ipod playlists together that are made up of aggressive tracks at the correct BPM for you to power away to.

There are lots of tracks between 87 and 110 BPM which I find the best cadances to ride at .Try to ride the 87 BPM tunes in your biggest gear and the higher spins at about 3 gears down
