Workout description

Starting from Llanfair Caereinion (just west of Welshpool) this stage follows the steady climb of the A458 up to Nant-y-dugoed and then the descent into Mallwyd.

Things kick off with a gradual warm up before the first gradual climb. Expect the 1.5km effort to last about 6 minutes. A brief descent and the rider is back on the gas for 3 V02Max efforts. Take in the sights with a tempo effort before tackling the main climb of the day. A few more kicks in the run in to home make this a great and rewarding stage. Bring on day 3!
